Description

This is Leya, she had her first birthday yesterday. The photo was taken toward the end of August at the Hollow down in the creek. Leya is an intrepid explorer, and totally fearless, so far anyway. The only thing she doesn't like is getting wet. She tries SO hard to keep those little feet dry, it is so much fun to watch her navigate the creek, trying to go stone to stone and not get in the water! Our Big Dog passed August 11th, the last of the 3grrrs. Thank you for stopping by and meeting Leya

She is a lucky girl, Rita! I can see all thos breeds you mentioned even at this angle of explore mode! Especially the Cairn bit: I have had three Cairns, and one of them would climb fallen trees to avoid getting wet feet in a tiny stream. I love her reflection, this is a super pic!

Dear Rita I know how hard it has been for you since you lost your beloved B-Dog, but also know how delighted you are with your beautiful Leya, and she is in fact just adorable and I know she can never replace your beloved dogs who wait for you at Rainbaow Bridge but hey she certainly will fill that big gap. Wonderful capture of your new beautiful 1 year old friend :) It saddens me to hear that all the 3 grrrr's are gone now. I fear my dog will be dead before New Year... her legs are getting too heavy. I am so glad you got a young dog again. I will always remember you as 3grrr, as you will no doubt never forget them, but you without a dog is simply too sad. I am still dogless. My husband lights a candle on the 8th of each month and goes hiking alone in the mountains, bringing home photos of the nature. Then I make panoramas. But Aron's stuff is still around the house and no other dog is in sight.
