Description

Spotted this rather lovely boat moored up on my way into work recently. I found the following information on the web: Originally called Koophandel V, she was one of five distinctive barges commissioned by the Visser company and built by the Prinsen boatyard to transport cabbages through the narrow channels between the arable fields of Northern Holland. Of the five originally built, she is believed to be the last still floating. Last renovated between 2007 and 2010, she looks pretty good for her 100 years - though a little paint touch-up may be in order. :-) You can visit the boats website here: Morgenster. ------------------------------------------ Original Photograph 21 Oct 2013
