Description

One of the joys of living on the main pedestrian route to one of the best Art schools in Europe is this sort of surprise. This message was repeated further along at a different orientation to the flow of traffic, but I like the way Ralphie's nose involves him in the philosophical dilemma.in this shot. Strange how this is in the past tense "I never loved" As opposed to "I do not love" Oh well is it a famous quote? I have no idea. Nice shot though.

It is a impressive message. The repetition of the quote in the road make it still more interesting. It is a 'warning' and a serious advice .... Ralph gives such subtlety on your picture. Pets are clever:) and always alert to important things...lol! Good that you were passing by and thank you for sharing andrea!

Dogs see the world with their noses so this is very apt Andrea!

HA, maybe Ralph can read. :) So I wonder if the writer loves the world as it is now.

Ralphie, among his other talents, such as eliminating foxes, has the innate ability to read and ponder the very existence of the universe. And, at least your local graffito is legible and easily understood.

A great find... and nice capture... glad they only used chalk, good to see Ralphie focusing on these words.

Present message, past tense. An epitaph of sorts? Something random for the dogs to ponder? Fascinating to find it in more than one place. I'd like living there, as well, if this is the sort of thing one comes across without warning! :)

Ralph's nose makes the picture. Outstanding image. You get the impression he may have written it. The quote is from Christian Lacroix, a French fashion designer who, oddly enough (or not), doesn't think much of French design.

Why Thankyou, Mark! Brilliant that you found that out, that has made my day!. I never thought to research it.

Mixed message perhaps. Does he mean that he likes it as it is now? Might be better if the last word was 'were'.

Looks like Ralphie has a nose for something like that, or he wanted to point out this statement. So good, Mark knew from who this text was originally.

Ralphie's nose shows him a different version of what we see. I wonder what he thinks of the chalk smell .. probably not too interested as it doesn't smell edible, grins. Love this shot with Ralphie's nose.

This message sounds so familiar and true, but in more than one way, I think. I wonder what Ralph was thinking of this, what a nose he is :)

I love that Mark located the quote for you. (It would've been even better if Ralph came in the room and said, "well, duhhhhh! I TOLD you!" and walked out.) It's a great shot. Great that you gave us a snippet of Ralph's nose. Love it. Is the school the Arts University of Bournemouth? I don't know even many art schools in the States. Love the way you did this. In the big art school in Chicago (School of the Art Institute), the bathroom graffiti had jokes like "where did van Gogh?" and "I forgot to brush Matisse". (my teeth...that's in case the joke was so bad, you didn't bother to get it) We had nothing like this. The little leaf next to Ralph kind of makes the shot, and the branch stretching into the middle of "Loved" is perfectly centered. Leave it to artists to know how to place graffiti. Love this upload.
