....river ! It was announced this week that to mark the 175th Birthday of the Cunard Line in 2015, they're planning something special. For one day only...MS Queen Elizabeth, MS Queen Mary 2 AND! MS Queen Victoria will berth at Liverpool....I may have to invest in a wide angle lense :-)
Of course this assumes none of them sink or get sold for scrap in the next 18 months :-0
For anyone who's interested, full details are here......

That will be a sight to behold my man! Thanks for the advanced warning too :)

That's going to be one crowded harbor. Stock up on film (cards?) and clean all the lenses on the cameras. Maybe rent a helicopter for the day.

Nice shot!

Nice photo. It shows how big the ship is in relation to the buildings. Now add 2 more and Liverpool disappears behind them. Need a bigger harbor? Probably not, but a good panorama camera! This one reminds me of the truck/car ferry between Rostock (Germany) and Trelleborg (Sweden) - over 200 meters long and several decks high, and rather squarely constructed. Strange how superstructure in modern vessels encroach more and more on the bow and stern. I suspect this to decrease stability. Nice photo. Will you show your attempts at photographing all three? :-)

I too think you need a huge camera and hire a Helicopter for a day. Get some great shots from the air. Great news Neil :)

Just park them side by side! (Now that would be interesting)

How fortunate you are to have these ships in your area. I've been fortunate enough to see the Queen Mary 2 a few years ago and at that time it was the largest passenger ship.

Skip the wide angle, and just do some really tight panos. MUCH better resolution in the long run! :) Should be fun!

One hopes NOT!! At least after the uproar from the General Public over Ark Royal being scrapped, they are offering HMS Illustrious (our last Carrier folks), to people to use as a venue and a heritage vessel.. We;'ll see... Bet its scrapped in the end.. Nice shot mate. Rob
