She is indeed vain. She has color coordinated her dress to match the room, and probably staged her pose so that she could look over her shoulder just so, when her caller arrived. I imagine she got exactly the effect she wanted and he was totally besotted. Beautiful colors, composition, and POV. I like the way she is seen from a lower angle, looking down over her shoulder. Lovely work!
