Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

When I see a composition like this, I just want to take my shoes and feel the wet sand under feet and walk on - ad infinitum .... this is a dreamlike dimension or so glorious ZEN-like ... BB

Ooooh! Run for your life! The tsunami wave is slowly rising from the sea to innundate the land! Sorry, Bill, but this is what shot into my mind upon seeing the wave in the distance rearing up over the foreground. The reflections from the sun really make this photo. Great job! Keep 'em comin' (I mean the photos, not the giant waves)! :-)

I love the way the stream bisects the sandy "pre-horizon" (if that's even a concept, let alone a word, but you know what I mean), and the sunlight reflecting on all those various shiny surfaces is sublime. It makes me want to be at the beach! In August. Not so much right now. :P

This has such a feeling of peace and calm..... I need to look at this for about 20 minutes before I head to (ugh) work tonight. A beautiful shot, Bill!

What's this about a tsunami ready to come roaring in? Great lighting and sepialike effects in this marvelous sea shot, Bill.

beautiful image. I still haven't been to that house I was telling you about, working on my nerve lol when I do get there I will take a photo of their front drive and you will see why I am hesitant but I did notice yesterday a side road I can pull into problem is the road the house/ barn and abandoned car are on a small windy road so to try to get the photo from the road might not be an easy or safe challenge. I have came across that many times when I see a real great photo opp that there is now where to stop. Have a great weekend

Beautiful Bill. This scene, or scenes similar to this one, are the reason I like to go to California a couple times each year.
