Description

I walked out into my backyard with my camera & surprised this squirrel who was eating something on the lawn. He quickly ran up the nearest tree, perched himself on a branch & then he & I proceeded to have a staring contest. I took this photo & a minute or two later, he started screeching & became so agitated that he dropped that thing he was holding. Not sure what it was - it kind of looks like a half-eaten chestnut, but we don't have any chestnut trees on our property...

Good job keeping him there long enough to get this shot! He looks pretty well fed. Whatever he's finding, it appears to be sufficient for requirements!

Great shot! My best was also taken from the front and the tail showing behind makes it very good!
