Description
As the human crew member works on refueling the IISS Starchaser (Imperial Interstellar Scout Service) the Aslan scans this uncharted planet. What should have been a routine refueling is about to turn into a life or death struggle. Even routine in the Scout Sevice can be dangerous, one must always be on guard.
Mostly Bryce, no postwork. Figures from poser, hair is all Bryce using metaballs and terrain. Field glasses modeled in Anim8tor.

Really cool idea. I like it :). I'm impressed with the hair for being done in Bryce...

Very cool... "Aslan" very clever... Narnia? I'd add a little reflection to the ships surface, assuming it has to be wet.

Great sence of colour, very inventive, wish you'd done the ringed planet better (should have been seperate rings, or if a single disk should have used an alpha to knock chunks out of it) !! ;-)

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. The Aslan is from a Sci-Fi RPG game called Traveller (actually this whole scene is). As for the rings there is an alpha cutting out the rings but instead of blend transparency I preferred the fuzzy setting which didn't make it as transparent but you can still see faint rings on the outer and inner edges.

Updated the render a bit with some of the suggestions above.

The hair and beard must have been an interesting trick to pull off. Like the wonderful liveliness of your color work, not to mention the glistening wet look on the tentacles. Cool work.

Agree; fantastic hair styling! Are those metaball tenticles? If so; great job!
