My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Nice shot!

I guess that's how it works but what a great riposte "we are independently crazy" LOL love the muted and range of colours in the sheet metal you took here, beautiful capture !

The bearded collector has a bit of everything here...it would be easy to go back to Jerome and do this shoot all over again. I didn't even see this. Nicely done...and plenty of patterns and textures here too!
moochagoo
Wonderful texture and composition. Jerome was closed when we went here, years ago.
jayfar
Extremely good for 'patterns and textures' Tara.

LOL I love your independently crazy attitude!. This shot has marvelous texture and color. A superb capture. Thanks for sharing your craziness. :)

Again, another great shot that many would not see. :-)

The textures are amazing, I'd love to see this in person, but in lieu of that, I'm thankful for your shots. Rick

You have patterns, structures, materials ... all there. I like the weathered wellplate at best!

Very cool capture I like you response! and I think it could apply to just about everyone here - in our own way

The coil is a perfect focal point & contrast with the linear pattern of the wall - a fine composition...
wysiwig
A really nice mix here. I especially like the patterns in the lower right part of the wall. I once knew an artist who did paintings that looked like this. And I add my approval of your response. Aren't we all?

Superb capture Tara. God bless.

So very enjoyable! I love the warmth of the light too.

Sounds like they are trying to learn things you already know. For many people unless they take a class in something they just don't go out and do anything. Nice shot!
Myel
Nice shadows and textures! M.

Love the write up! Pretty cool photo too. I know what that is on the wall, it's my childhood arch enemy.

I remember the old 'photo club' days - we would frequently have a field trip where we would concentrate on things like that - of course me being me.... I shot whatever the heck I thought would look halfway decent. Then I'd come home and process 5 rolls of 36-exposure film, and try to figure out which ones to spend hours in the darkroom printing. I DO love digital photography! :-D This is great, Tara! You have textures and patterns, as well as great contrasts with circles and vertical/horizontals. Brilliant!
MrsRatbag
Hmmph. You should have been TEACHING that class IMHO! This shot is exactly why, it's perfect!

Wow, it sure has 'patterns and textures'. What a shot. I never worry about 'patterns and textures'. I just aim and shoot! I don't want to sound redundant, but I am not surprised!
dragonmuse
Very nice textures in this. this place seems a treasure trove of interesting things to look at.
