That's interesting--it tends to wash out the bump on the snake but it makes the leaves in back look really excellent and realistic! I think with some texture tweaks you will get some amazing renders!

Good results. The snake does pop a bit and the rug? Harder to perceive.

This is looking REALLY good, Krid... the metal glows beautifully, and the snakes textures look so realistic. I can't wait to see what you do next.

Wonderful textured. I really like the LUX render engine and the Reality 3 plug-in. I am struggling with the materials though. Shoot me a line if you have any good tips or tutorials. Fine work indeed.

I have to be the dissenting voice here. IMHO, this is weaker than your Poser images in terms of realism. You can probably overcome a lot of that by learning more about Luxrender materials and Reality. But that only seems necessary if you want something more from your materials and lights than what you've been able to do so far. Considering you already use Vue, I'm not sure how much more Lux can do for you. Not that Lux isn't awesome, but I've been admiring Vue for years now.
