Description

Chroicocephalus philadelphia. Yes, we get gulls in Arizona, though not large numbers. But that's changing. People have seen more than 20 in one location. I found three at Lakeside Park, Tucson, Arizona, USA. They were feeding, and would fly, then dive far enough to get their head and bill underwater, land, swallow the tidbit, and take off again. This made taking their pictures a bit of a challenge. 650mm lens hand-held, hand-focused.

That's quite a feat Pat to hand hold a lens that long and still capture this beautiful bird, Bravo !
