Description
To explain the title you will have to look closely at the base of the central tree.
This was at Stourhead yesterday and as you can see I used the dying ferns as the foreground to add Autumnal colour.
I am not getting 'notification' emails so I don't know when you are posting unless I trawl through the 'What's New' so unless this is resolved I may pull out altogether. If I do I thank you all for your comments and favs.

This is a great shot. The ferns do have visual interest and make a very nice frame for the owl tree. I have been receiving some of my notifications in my junk mail box also for some reason. I hope you get it resolved for I would hate to miss out on seeing your beautiful photos.

It's just me but I never use the notification feature. I hate to feel that I have to comment just cos someone else did or whatever. I comment cos I have seen a photo I like in the galleries, plain and simple!

It does appear to be an owl. Do like the composition and the fall colors...soon to be replaced by grey. I have wavered several times since joining (2008)...commenting for me is fun for awhile, then it gets to be a lot of work. So, my solution has been to turn off all my bots and comment when the spirit moves me by simply going through about three pages of what's new in Photography. I know I miss a lot doing this but it takes the pressure off me feeling like I am falling behind on all those bots stacking up.
