Description

Today I had lunch with a friend at Rock Restaurant, Westbourne, which is in the roof of a converted Methodist Church. Tesco's convenience store occupies the downstairs. See the room Here From left to right Dorset Bresola & Saltbeef Hash, Poached egg and Cockle dressing Grilled Whole Plaice (caught at Mudeford) with herb butter and baby veg Lemon meringue pie with Blueberries All excellent, and I even managed to turn over my fish without making a mess of it, and eat it without doing a Queen Mother! Bresola is cured topside very thinly sliced..I had to ask too!

The only part I could recognize was the plaice and the lemon meringue, and it has a much different shape than one might expect. Wow, you're a real foodie, Andrea!

Looks tasty and from your words it was clearly enjoyed, food as art too, indeed those three captures show the chefs skills of presentation. Do you have a Taste or Gourmet Society membership?. Great captures. Food is not always easy to capture without it looking ready for the dogs.

I had to use Google to find out what Bresola and Plaice were. No problem with the lemon meringue. Considering the location, I hope you said grace before eating.
