Description

I don't like posting the same image twice but I did debate when I posted the colour version of "The Old Barn" whether it would have been better in monochrome, Jeff thought it would so here it is for Jeff :) Perhaps you might like to leave some thoughts on which you prefer. My thanks to all of you for your constructive criticisms they are always welcome, Have a great weekend, Rob

Thanks Rob, I like it very much. There are some wonderful tonal ranges in there and it is an instant favourite for me.

I do like both, but the monochrome adds a certain mood that matches the ill repair of this barn. I like this a touch better for that reason. Great shots on both.

It is close, old in b/w in the past to sit. It does not always work ..... but here it fits very well.

I like this in b&w. Really lends mood- a solitary, lonely feel. Great shot, Rob.

I did prefer the color version because of the angry sky but that angry shy came through in the monochrome version as well!

cool dedi and impressive in b/w, both are special and have also their own expression, b/w is stronger and there is more dramatic in it! ;o)

Both shots work, but i think that monochrome is more in keeping with the ramshackle state of the buildings. Also the sky looks much more dramatic.
