Singer Motors Limited was a British motor vehicle manufacturer, founded by George Singer in 1874 as a bicycle manufacturer in Coventry, England.

Oh, I had forgotten about the Singers! I have actually ridden in one of those. There were quite a few of them in Vancouver in the late 50s.

Singer wouldn't do as a brand of car here in the U.S. as it is a famous brand of sewing machine. I've seen more than one comic strip where a wimpy car is shown having a sewing machine under the hood!

Well i have a Singer sewing machine of about the same vintage as this car or earlier. There were many about of both when I was a child.
