Description

Wikipedia says an evergreen is a plant that has leaves in all four seasons, always green. This contrasts with deciduous plants, which completely lose their foliage during the winter or dry season. There are many different kinds of evergreen plants, both trees and shrubs. Late summer or early autumn, berries form. Photo taken in Falmouth, Massachusetts on July 24, 2013. It will zoom. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favorites and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Most conifers are evergreen and those berries look like unripe cones like we get on Laylandii they should go brown when the seeds are ripe..

It looks like a juniper. The juniper berries do have a distinct smell and are sometimes used in cooking. Great photo...looks like a full harvest. Thanks for sharing.

I can see you know a great deal about natural history, Dana! WHITE berries? Hmmmm, wonder how they'll taste. (Are they edible?) :)
