Seen at the 'Naked' gardens in Malmesbury where the owner and his wife carry out their gardening in the nude.

What a wonderful statue! I thought of them when I was planting my tulip bulbs this year (clothed). I remember him saying how many they plant every year, and it was thousands The volume made my 38 containers seem positively trivial.

38 containers!!! Durleybeachbum, that is a lot to me. I would love to have that many. But, I would not want to garden in the nude...too dirty for me and I mean that literally. :) Thanks for sharing this photo and info. It certainly sounds like a place worth visiting.

Yikes! I'm just imagining the feel of those little feet and claws tickling that particular bit of a man's anatomy...oh dear! Strange and wonderful statue indeed. As far as naked gardening, I can see benefits and the other side too; I've never understood the appeal of nudity myself, but I know it's important to others, and I don't have a problem with it. Does it make their gardens better? That would be the deciding factor!

Yikes! So mean to the poor statue and he cannot even defend himself. :) I have no problems with nudity as such. But it is depending on the situation it is placed in, that can be offensive to me.

WOW, this is wonderful! And I must say, dear Jeff, I just saw the naked gardener and his wife (your to-day-upload), so I've seen the naked gardener in real life, and they look very much alike, but ....... would he still have his host, or visitor in his pants?
