Description
I was walking up the steps of my apartment when the front door flew open and my neighbor - an older Ukrainian woman rushed past me. As I dodged out of her way I spun around to see the twisted remains of her young son's bicycle underneath a car. Luckily, her son was thrown away from the street and except for some bruises, he will be okay.
This was the look on her face as she passed me. Her fear and pain was so vivid I can still see it.
