Sometimes your neck isn't long enough! So you have to stand on a nearby wall to see down stream. This Grey Heron was patrolling a stream through a wood. He has worked out he can see further and save energy by hoping up on the wall. It must be better than standing in that freezing water too!

LOL! But his neck isn't long enough to catch anything from up there, he'll have to get down and get his feet cold eventually! What a super find and wonderful capture!
