Description
Today noon in the Jonte valley, 10 km from home, coming back from the nearest city (42 km). In this season, sun never reaches the bottom of the valley and it remains very cold.
This canyon (not the Great one!) meanders through limestone plateaus which are called here Causses (Méjean, Sauveterre, Noir, Larzac...).
For a difference of 400 m in altitude between valley and plateau, you have now several degrees in temperature .
During the fair season, you find many tourists (I hate motorhomes!)... in winter, sometimes nobody except a delivery truck or vultures hovering...
