Description

Well, probably more furious than fast :) But trying really hard anyway. This was done for one of the previous Carrara challenges. Leaves are from Howie Farkes' sets, the snail is Carrara native content, but modified, morphed, rigged, re-UV-mapped and textured, the rest is made by me from scratch. I forgot to post this image before, so I am uploading it now. Comments and critique are welcome, as always.

What fun. The water drops seem a little too reflective and not transparent enough – in my opinion... Really nice work on the snail.

Excellent eyes you have, nothing gets past you. I did enhance the reflections because otherwise the water was pretty much invisible and got visually lost. But you are absolutely right. Perhaps the solution would be to replace reflections with enhanced highlights instead. I'll try it. And thank you for your kind and perceptive comments!

Wonderful image. Love the snail character. Regarding the water: You might want to tweak the transparency and refraction settings and probably turn on caustics. It can really improve the look of anything with transparency/refraction elements and the render time cost in Carrara is a pretty good trade-off.
