Description

I found this beautiful old old cash register in a shoe store, in the shopping center. There was a paper sign with a warnng not to touch it, I asked one of the clerks to remove the sign, so i gould get get a good shot of this. She told me, that this cash register was the stores very first one. I guess she didnt mean this actually store, but the owners first shoe store :) This shopping center is not that old ;-) FULL SIZE for more details. Have a great week and take care, friends :) We had very dull, grey and windy weather todah, but it is still severel degrees above freezing point. What a great find! You remind me I got something similar while we were in California. Bill's cousin's wife's family owned a florist shop, and she has their old cash register.

Oooh, is this nice, dear friend! IIt brings back good memories, such as ringing bells, and then, suddenly, 'ping', and the drawer opened. Such a beautiful buttons and embellishments on everything from the. So good to see this gem, with all his coins. Great shot, Helle!

Ah, memories. My father owned a Lumber Company in the small town where we lived. He had a similar one of these there. Only it had lots of drawers underneath. The top drawer was for the cash and the others he kept different sizes of nuts and bolts that were for sale. My sister now owns it and promises to restore it to its former glory one day. Great photo.
