Description
...discarded and left to the elements, captured between the months of July and December 2013, in various and sundry areas around the neighborhood.
I couldn't get a better POV in the second photo because it was shot through a hole in a covered fence.
Cool with ZOOM.

Actually, I like that POV in #2! What a great collection of lost footgear...I'm always surprised to find shoes out and about, it makes me wonder about where they came from and why they are lost. Excellent shots, Harry!

this is just a one-off for now, Harry, I'll be back for more soon...but man I dig this collection. The first one has wonderful light---early morning, maybe?---and texture surrounding a wild looking shoe-sandal. It's equal to your many sidewalk-shadow pieces. The second, you were concerned about shooting through a hole in a fence? Well this is a fine, complex shot (and I see Denise agrees): A very complex group of accents and rhythms; the shoe's angle is revealing, to me, the tufts of grass are a nice "bottom" to the shoe, and the laces are great contrasts in hue. Worthy of an upload of its own. Number 3 makes me think of the expression, "you two and your big freakin' mouths!" Love the silliness of it. Nicely placed/captured too; the red is fine contrast. 4---where do you find these shoes??? Those shoelaces, do they glow in the dark? And I like how you capture them on the divide of a sidewalk, between textured and flat stone/concrete. (All of these are caught in fine positions.) And the last---well what better place to end than with the proverbial "shoes tossed over a phone wire"? Surrounded by stark blue space...Good ending! I had to comment on this. A real variety show. Love it.

I am sure the moms that probably bought most of them appreciate this. Or maybe its a way to get new shoes maybe I will try that.
