In 2005 and after 31 years in the brewing industry I chose "Freedom 55" and retired early. This allowed me to follow my passion of scuba diving and travel. I moved out to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada for 3 years and became a professional scuba instructer.  Shortly after returning from New Zealand in the fall of 2011, I have been having to deal with a couple of non diving related medical issues which has forced me to hang up the mask and fins for a spell. This should give me more time for taking pictures...lol.

"Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives."

Hey, you can collect the wood and use it as firewood. For every shipmaster, the wood is a real nightmare. A very interesting photo!

Great photo. Make some kind of artwork out of all that driftwood.

Nice one Bruce. That's some pretty damaging logs of wood there.

if they could develop a 'cowcatcher' like is on the old steam engines, it may save some tempers and boats Great scene

I love your narrative Bruce - very funny - unless you are the one that is out there hearing the 'thuds'. Fantastic capture and firewood galore.
