Description

I was on search for a picture for today. I walked through the streets. Christmas time .... lights, shine, peace, joy, pancakes, ..... and the pure Commerz..... everywhere I look . The gifts are getting bigger and more expensive * creepy * So I looked through my own pictures and I have stopped here. I've done it in the summer. But I think this image is not dependent on the season and brings me closer to Christmas as each filled gift table . I think of all the people, to those it not doing so well..... and I think of a visit to a charitable institution these days to make myself useful. Streetart from artist: ADNATE from Australia August 2013

good painting - yes too much 'Commerz' - but this is what makes 'The world go Round'

I hate the commercial aspects of Christmas, I know it drives the economy but it also drives people into personal debt too, It's a fantastic painting though and 'Adnate' translates from Latin to 'swim alongside' which I think is very apt if you plan to help those less fortunate over the Xmas period, I take my hat to you for such a wonderful thought Sonja. A lovely find and capture

Your right commercialism has over taken Christmas. Here in the US they start right after September. By the time Christmas arrives your burned out by it.

I like this urban art and I Thank you for your though of helping at a charitable institution. My wife cooks for days and on Thanksgiving and Christmas, we bring home cooked meals to elderly folks that are trapped in their condos because of health problems.

Great capture and good observation I work at a food bank/thrift store and I see it on a daily basis we have 130 families signed up to get gifts for their children as well as a special Christmas food box (this Saturday)

The best way to forget your troubles is to help those with bigger problems. The Pilgrims outlawed Christmas when they came to America for exactly this reason. They felt the drinking and gift buying and parties denigrated the birth of their Messiah. An outstanding image.

Sehr cooles Foto. Ich mag seine Brille aus Verkehrsschildern. LOL
