Cars and 4X4 are forbidden in Ile de France forests (Fontainebleau Forest; Rambouillet F., Dourdan F., etc). There are only tractors for the forest exploitation by the National Forests Office (French: Office National des Forêts), or ONF, a public establishment.

That was OK on the both sides of the path. I had only light Vasque Scree 2.0, and they were dry after 20 km :) :) 1/3 of the Rambouillet forest is rather sandy.

That looks like Jeep country, the kind that could get a Jeep very badly stuck. Maybe it would get through it but if I were alone I would go back instead.
