"Honda On Ice"
At our grandson's swim meet in Oklahoma City, OK, this weekend, we were greeted Saturday morning with a quarter to a half inch of ice coating the car. I had to run the defroster for ten minutes before I could even begin chipping the ice off the windshield. I thought the ripples of ice on the front of the hood were kind of interesting.

Those go better with a little vodka..... :-P We had a little freezing drizzle last night, but mostly it was just snow - about 4 inches.

This looks like frozen rain. The worst thing is if such a layer of ice is on the road, then the car driving and running on foot is impossible. These things happen here now and again in the winter. A great shot!

I recall all to well the horrendous ice storms of Oklahoma. I was on a bridge and the ice was so slick that I could not release the brake without giving a little gas. otherwise the car would move sideways with only idle speed. there was a semi stuck on the bridge and an old lady that was afraid to move. finally I was able to inch along beside her.
