Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I must confess I just get out the father Christmas and some other small bits each year... no tree, the thought of untangling lights are the things nightmares are made of so much so when I moved I made sure they never followed me and went straight to the charity shop. This is an impressive bauble.. looks as if it's made up of metal nuts and other such things.

High speed gales and rain here in the capitol Andrea. I had to pick up three wheelie bins this morning. And like you we are also frippery free :)

Good heavens, a bauble of unusual design in this great pic, Andrea. On close examination, the surface appears to consist of hundreds of little metal spacers, attached to the ornament by someone who had a lot of time on his/her hands. And I am aware of the surrounding digifiddling.

I don't have much up in the way of decoration, just my artificial tree with no baubles, and only the lights that were pre-strung on it. With no children around there's not much incentive to go whole-hog with all the hoopla around the holidays, but it is nice to see it where others have gone to the trouble...your postwork makes this a real piece of art, beautifully done!

Merry Xmas Andrea.

A nice image but it looks a little industrial. With your off and on rain, it sounds like you are living in the tropics.

I agree with auntietk :)

Nice shot It goes well with the digi fiddle, Tacky is alive and well in our house although I like to think of it as festive Bling.

WOW a beautiful shot here. OOPS ! reminds me that one of my decorations has not been in use yet. I will put it on the table and invite my nephew and wife for coffee and light it up.
