Merry Xmas to you Dana. We have Salt Water Crocs here but not Alligators....but I'm sure we both share the same 'don't dangle your toes in the drink too long' rule!

Man that would take some adjustment to get used to fishing with a predator like this around waiting for you to fall into the water. Scary to me, I'd rather tickle Bison!

Evil looking beast and I'm still glad we don't have them here I do have the plant that's floating around it ,Azolla caroliniana or floating fern but even that can be a bit of a pest but at least it doesn't bite. I hope you and your family are having a great Christmas.

Fantastic shot Dana, I remember being in Miami some years ago and visiting the everglades and seeing these, I also remember a sign saying "Don't molest the alligators" got me thinking who on earth would do that !! LOL

Hi Dana... Wow, very good close-up here. Excellent shot and it looks kind of pretty with all those leaves around his head. Great bit of info. above and thanks for being so thorough. 19.2 feet is one huge Alligator! Again, great capture and you're still in my prayers. You take care and thanks for sharing this lovely photo!!!

An excellent study. Love the reflexion that partly hides the creature's sub-aqua presence.
