Asian Meishan pig
The pig has always been a sign of wealth and prosperity, a symbol of fertility and strength. Even for the Germans the wild boar was a sacred animal. Anyone with a lot of "pig", was among the Greeks and Romans, situated as privileged, than to enjoy many pigs had to have synonymous with a lot of food. Who possessed pigs, had to suffer not hungry and was lucky. Even today, the term "pig had" is often used, and because you can not pay living piglets, bringing People New Year's Eve with the symbolic happiness of marzipan pigs .
