Description

A Larch tree has needles, but they fall off in th autumn just like in hardwood trees, but it has these little cones. Beautiful I think. Just on inspection in my nephews garden and took this shot this afternoon. Was also having a peek around my neighbors house on the other road, to see if everything is ok after this fireworks, I heard yesterday. We dont have much firework around here, but we do have some neighbors a few houses away and they often use fireworks. Also for birthdays, If they celebrate it in their vacation house and that is actually not allowed. Atleast, we dont have to be so concerned for Magnus´ terrible fear for fireworks and thunder anymore, as he passed away in August. Still I dont like the thought in such a place as this vacation area with so many wooden houses and so few in the winter to discover if a house gets in fire.. What a risk! A neighbour two doors away is obsessed with fireworks: I think he does it to impress his much younger wife! Your house looks so pretty!

I also dont like fireworks and some neighbors do it in the yards here and so near homes!!... not allowed also, i think they need the risk, like in a extreme sport, or then, do not think!! I love the tree Helle and the cones. The view of the garden through the tree is a wonder and the house is so beautiful!!!!

How nice this is! I like the view through the branches, as if you were up in the tree. :) (We have an expression here, "are you out of your tree?" meaning, "are you crazy?" This means since you're NOT "out of your tree," you must be quite sane.) :P I'm glad everything was okay in the neighborhood after the fireworks! There aren't a lot of people at home who do fireworks, because they're not allowed. But we're in Texas right now, and someone told me Texas has a lot of laws that are never enforced, and people pretty much do what they want. The noise from the fireworks last night was a barrage! It was relatively loud, but it was constant and went on for a long time. Fortunately Mandy is totally indifferent to noises.

I have seen these trees, but never knew that's what they were. Lovely capture looking through the branches! While fireworks are illegal here that doesn't stop people in my neighborhood from doing them. Also shooting off guns, which is very dangerous (that old cowboy mentality, I guess: "Yee Haw!!!" shooting rifles into the air, forgetting that what goes up must come down. Gravity is a law that WILL be obeyed, after all!) I don't like loud noises in the middle of the night of any sort.
