Description
My first real render in DAZ Studio and I like what it can do. I was a bit lazy and used a photo I took a few years ago at Linlithgow Palace in Scotland as a background. Vienna and Aretha are the bought items and Evilinnocence's Cosplay outfit, Valen's hair are amongst the freebies. Also using a fair amount of included Poser and DAZ content I think. I played around with the Scripted 3Delight rendering options until I got a compromise of speed and quality that pleased me.

Excellent render. I've never bothered with the scripting but you got some great results.

Looks okay but you can't help but notice there is no shadows and the left elbow joint of the character on the right doesn't look natural there's also a lack of depth perception probably because it was put together in some editing program.

Oh, wow! I'm working since the first release with DAZ-Studio, but it never occured to me to script it. Do you know good resources to learn how to script in DAZ? BTW there is a phantastic set of Plugins for DAZ for working with backdrops which can render shadows and reflections and even if a part of the photo shall cover the 3D Model it is possible to do. I use them, since DAZ-Studio 2.0. They help to give the Render the neccessary kick to blend the 3D stuff more in the Photo backdrop. How ever, since the Plugin architecture of DAZ seems to look strictly for the right Version of both the Plugin and the Studio Release, the Plugin often get's screwed up (almost with every minor change in DAZ Studio) and it takes almost an eternity, until the Plugin get's updated (sigh). It unfortunately never worked as good anymore as when it was made for DAZ-Studio 2.xx Oh, by the way: it's the PW Catch I'm talking about (http://www.daz3d.com/pwcatch)

Sorry Alexander, I just used an old photo of mine as the background image in DAZ - nothing more than that (Edit/Backdrop). The link you sent me looks fun - for $10 I might try that. Thanks for the input.
