Description
Captured 12/28/13, at daybreak, shortly after exiting the confines of my normally congenial condominium complex.
I was going to title this Sunrise #2, but there was no sun itself in the image, so I chose this route.
ZOOM for better contrast and definition.
Happy New Year/Bonne Annee/Gelukkig Nieuwajaar.

Rich, deep blue sky and gorgeous cloud covering. I like the various cloud patterns displayed. Nice work ! :-)

by removing the lower part of your photograph, the sky becomes a beautiful sea with his surf!

I do love those delicate tendrils of cloud-wisp above the thicker mass; beautiful capture, Harry!

yes sometimes the clouds do mess up a shot. but that life. happen to me today with the sun set I was hoping to get. Got a man fishing at lest. Anyway this is a good shot that look like two types of clouds

I already commented on the first of the sunrise series, so will comment on this now. It's still a cloud and sky shot with ground underneath, so I enjoy seeing them all together. Here the clouds look like silk, or like long swaths of cream; and your ground is amazingly cloistered, tight and dramatic by contrast. A big swath of ground-level, compared to the others; and here---because of the dramatic contrasts of lit cars, etc, next to all the dark shadows---the ground feels almost menacing. You see this kind of contrast in the Midwest when tornadoes are approaching: The street level has intensely lit areas next to big black areas, and it seems surreal and even frightening. Also, the cramped look of the ground-level makes it feel teeming, to me, and that heightens the contrast with the sky even more. A dramatic capture; and though the sun isn't present (as you point out), it's still part of your dialogue with sweeping skies and complex grounds. A fav for all three---they're all very complex and difficult shots, which you presented with much sweep and mystery; and they're all beautiful. (Btw, I noticed your alliterations: "...confines of my normally congenial condominium complex". Along with your puns, part of your linguistic artistry added to your visuals.)
