Description

I even got the tackle the man was using here in mid air. Yes the stop sign do look surreal there but that how it is. They did stop people from using a cast net here because they would leave a big mess behind so bad at times the park rangers had to call the fire department to hoses the boardwalk down. Sad to because people could catch shrimp with the cast nets. I remember a long time ago I caught shrimp. Not much but it was good for about two meals. now it just fishing and crabbing here. the stop sign is there to stop people as they cross a small bridge over a waterway to get onto the main road here. I show the bridge later on and also a good shot of the marsh grass in case you wonder how it looks. That is not in this photo. oh we was the only ones here and he left about 10 minutes after I got there. it was cold and the wind was blowing also. clouds came in from the west and I could not get a good sunset shot but I did get a lot of other shots. my head was hurting by the time I got home so I had to lay down for about 30 minutes. I ok now. just noted there is some grass in this photo. you see it in the background by the road guard rail . You see how high it is. It over my head and I am 6 foot 4 inches tall. That is just one type of grass in the marsh.

Very odd looking fishing scene with all of the roadside trimmings so close by. That makes it a really fun shot. Well done.

A good shot of this fisherman casting his line.I guess that it was too chilly for him to stay around.

Egad, what a weird place to be fishing, with that stop sign and traffic barrier in the way. Anyway, cool shot of the tackle and the dude casting it, Jock. Looks kind of foggy in the distance.

Brilliant picture Jock. Looks like the man has just noticed the sign and has been frozen in time.

Great action shot Jocko you caught the cast just right, It's a strange sign though as It doesn't tell you what to stop for.

I love to fish, provided there is no bait used and there is a tree, a river bank, and a lazy summer day involved. I remember my grandfather went fishing with me once as a boy; he simply could not understand why I wouldn't put bait on, so he forced the issue and baited my hook, dangit! Then I caught a fish and he was like.. oh yea, you the boy. And I was stuck with a smelly nasty little critter to carry home. He never did understand fishing was not for catching fish. It was for drowsy lazy summer days because mothers will let you go if it's fishing, because that's a boy thing, but if it's just to go lay on the river bank, oh no, mothers will always find chores.

True, the stop sign really looks a little surreal. To me, making the image the impression that the sign would have stopped time, so the angler must remain eternally solidifies ... With such a stormy breeze a hat is always better. I live on the stormy North Sea and know what I am talking about. Your previous photos are all stunning! Wonderful shot, my friend!
