WOW!!! This is a fantastic shot. I love how well you captured the power of the ocean along with the gorgeous sky and the ship just going about business. :)

Surreal beauty for sure....If Maxfield Parrish painted ships....... :)

An excellent and powerful shot Steve

Stunning shot. Well done.

Great shot - the pilings, the churning waves, the ship & that cloud formation (which frames the ship very nicely) all combine to form a very strong visual composition. Without any one of those visual elements, it would be far less dramatic. You had a good eye to see it & the photographic skills to capture it perfectly...

Awesome capture!!!

Not exactly sailing but off on a journey anyway. And there are those pilings again. I wonder if they are there to prevent beach erosion? This is a wonderful dramatic shot.

wonderful pic!!! nice swell! ;-) (wondering where it was? these poles ('paalhoofden' in dutch, lit. 'poleheads') seem to be typical for the province of Zeeland/'Sealand' -only??- and there is no place in Europe where the ships pass so close to shore as in -ugly- Vlissingen/Flushing)
