Description
.. at the camp fire?
Sure I will!!
This is Christi, one of the newer characters from Sabby and she is wonderfully crafted with a lovely face and a sweeeeeet pout morph. She can be a bit of a tomboy but just that tiny bit that makes her so sweet :-D
Oh, the Boots are from the "Tool-Girl", And the Environment is the "FantasyCampIII" and the Guitar from a veeery old set from DarkWhisper (all over from DAZ3D), The Tent is a Freebie from Tryphon (WWII Tent City) here at Rendo. ;-)
Rendered in DAZ-Studio3 I'm pretty much dissapointed, that this program, when used a point light (which is the only Light source in this image) refuses to render the Shadows (I tried the newest 4.6 as well, but no better). Although it calculates the shadowmap, it does not show them in the Render - what a bummer!! I tried Raytraced Shadows as well, but this takes a little eternity to render (yes even with an i7 processor at 3300MHz) :-(
So even if I like DAZStudio, there are still a lot of flaws in this program and with every minor Release change all the plugins go haywire and you have to download the newest version of them (with fingers crossed, that they will be working hopefully) Baaaahhhhhh - shame!
Maybe I' do a run once overnight..
Thanx for watching - any comments welcome

Love the campfire - how did you do that? A few comments - I bounce between Poser and DAZ. I find the latter generally easier to use, but Poser search function actually works. DAZ is a great program of course for free. If you really want slow rendering you need to buy Reality 2 - absolutely awesome renders but you need to render it overnight. You can also get great mesh lights for free from Callads - which only work I think with Reality. I only do final renders overnight and sometimes two consecutive overnights. Like you I have a new fast machine with lots of RAM, so the good thing is I can still use the computer for most tasks even with 99% of its CPU working on the render.

Actually I did the Campfire by seaching on Google for Images with "Fire" A lot of the Results are Flames with black Background. Now You just apply these (different ones to not repeat the Flames) as texture and as transperency map to different Square primitives (as provided in Poser). As well give the Texture some Ambient color (DAZ-Studio) to make them glow in the dark. These squares are all placed in the middle of the campfire, so that they intersect each other (like a star). This way you can rotate around the scene and always get some Planes you are facing and which are showing the Flame textures. I hope you got the point ;-)

Oh, by the way: Talking about mesh lights. I suppose you know, that you can turn every Geometry into a meshlight in Reality, didn't you?
