Description

A Safe Water Mark, as defined by the International Association of Lighthouse Authorities, is a sea mark used in maritime pilotage to indicate the end of a channel. It usually implies that open, deep and safe water lies ahead, though it is sometimes also used to indicate the start and end of a buoyed section of a continuous narrow channel, or a line of these marks can be used to mark a safe route through shallow areas. Have a nice day.

Put the right kind of sensors in it and you can tell a lot about the sea... ;)

A great seascape. You could have told me this was a capsule returned from the space station and I would not have known the difference.

I know absolutely nothing about what these things mean, so it's interesting to get this bit of information. What a lovely shot you've got here; that's an industrial strength buoy! And I love the way the waves look so thick and serious.

You keep red on the right returning into harbour in the northern hemisphere and green on the right returning into harbour in the southern hemisphere.
