Description

Today's random man was the security guard in a store perfume department. On New Year's Day 2013 I went to the busstop to go to town and buy Panto tickets. Fortunately a passing boy told me there were NO buses. So I went home, got the car, pfaffed about finding parking, walked to the Pavilion Theatre, which was SHUT. So I walked to the shops and bought perfume in the sales, resulting in this shot. It's an ill wind that blows nodody any good, as they say in Yorkshire! See the original colour version Here

You have a clear gift for putting people at ease when taking their photographs... all the shots I have seen they all appear relaxed and that is a skill that does not just come from knowing how to use a camera properly.. it's a human skill that not everyone possesses. Great capture of a characterful guy doing his job.. one of many that make the world go round so to speak without every really being recognised. Nice work.

A wonderful portrait. He has deep set expressive eyes. I suppose after a day like you had buying perfume can be almost as consoling as chocolate. Almost.

Someone named Mohammed in Bournemouth with its large Jewish population? That's the democratic way of it. A stellar portrait of the security guard, Andrea, apparently eyeing you suspiciously as to your motive.

A security guard just for perfume? That's a highly specialized job, I suppose? Excellent portrait!
