Description

While journeying through the darkest depths of my backyard, I chanced upon the reclusive "Bird of Paradise" as it spread it's wings to greet the smog-tinged sunrays of the Southern Californian morning. In the near distance, the delicate sound of leaf blowers and boom boxes resonated in the turgid air. Oh yes, where was I.... The original "raw" photo was nice enough, but I thought this application of of a Photoshop filter created a nicer feeling to the image.

I have been waiting for your work....this almost looks like a hummingbird to me.....One of my favorite flowers, and this is exquisite, the photoshop was a perfect touch!

You are right, the PS-Filter did it. But, IMHO a dark, monochrome background would be a great improvement for this pic...

"delicate sound of leaf blowers and boom boxes resonated in the turgid air"??! Boy...good thing you took up the graphic arts, instead of creative writing. ;> Nice picture & effect.
