Description

Buy this conveyance, so well beyond the pale! Captured back on 3/5/08, early morning, about half a mile from home. It doesn't take a stretch of imagination to see that this is one lonnng buggy. And, often surprising what one can find in their old archives. Adieu.

Very nice work on these captures, Harry. We have two companies that produce these near me, and my personal preference is the Hummer version

Great find Harry. You and at least 10 of your best friends can hop a ride in this Caddy.

Wow, long and lovely, Harry! I wonder about the "Caribean Limo" thing, must be driven by a Jamaican or something. Ya mon! Cool find, and excellent shots here!

Love the comments here..."Just right for a short ride down the local store" (rob), or, "Truly hideous. But excellent photos" (andrea). They are pretty grotesque as cars, lol; but they make great photos. In both shots, you've got the limos going right to the edges of the frame---they fill the shot, as they should. And you give us a front view and a back view. Your years of shooting cars pays off in pics like these---I assume that, in march of '08, you'd already shot a number of cars---because you know where to place the camera, how to frame it with the background, and what to do with the light. Not an easy thing to capture, because of the difficulty of getting its "wholeness" in one shot. The division of each shot into luminous green grass with white sky above, and bits and pieces of buildings in between, make these well-framed and presentational. And I like the lines of reflection in both. In fact, with the differences in hue and light, they could almost be different limos, or shot at two different times of day. (Ie, real variety between the shots.) In any case, you made a strange beast wholly photo-worthy. And one of the fun things is that they spelled "caribean" wrong (!!!)---not that I'm a stickler on spelling, but that if you run a business, it always helps (sic) to get the name of your businesses correct. When I did advertising, they called this a "major faux pas". Fine double capture of a difficult-to-capture beast. (And btw, your puns never escape my attention...just want you to know that. You've been particularly rich in them in the last month or so.)
