Description
Les Bains de l'Alliaz (CH) - December 2013
Built as thermal baths in 1811, these baths operated until the Second World War, when they were used to house internees (Italian and Soviet officers, apparently).
Ernest Hemingway visited them in 1922 and describes the atmosphere in 'A Farewell to Arms'. (Not a book I feel like re-reading).
Now used as apartments.
