I'm skipping images only so I can get a good sampling---it's not because any of your images are less worthy than any others. I see all your uploads, and I sit with them too: But when I finally get to comment on RR, I have to pick several and leave several out. It's just because of time, not quality. So please know that the ones I skip aren't any less good: I just can't comment on them all. (Because my comments are long, and take a lot of time. That's the only reason. I do this in every gallery I comment in---it's by no means only in yours.) That said, this is beautiful. It's one of several softer shots you've posted, with a sense of gentle softness about the whole; and beautiful, almost painted light. The composition moves from a front-angle (the pier) to open waters (on top) which "call" us via a reflected sun. The sun seems reflected in the sky too, because of its streaks in the clouds. Another sweeping shot from you, only this one is intimate and quiet. And the masts, here, break up the long sweeps of the clouds...Very sensitive work, and evoking long deep nights or dawns, and the rest that comes with them. Beautiful that this is the first of the year...
