Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It's definitely droughtville in our future, with no rain in immediate sight, but that shouldn't deter us from enjoying this fine snap of the bridge over the Eel River, Maz.

I like the misty, coastal feel you've given this in post. Wonderful!

a quiet, sweeping almost pre-dawn shot of a beautiful bridge. I assume it's a day shot, but it looks like it's early morning or late evening. You have a quiet muted beauty, and a softening of the background peaks and bushes and trees. Very sweet. And as for the narrowed river, I wouldn't know it was narrow, because I've never seen the river. But I know the drought was very bad, and what you say doesn't surprise me. Nice angle on the bridge, and the way it arches over to the other side. A very sensitive bridge shot, with quiet gentle hues...
