Description
Feeling moody and arsty-fartsy. Tried for an image that took into account shapes that would draw the eye. Hopefully, I succeeded on some level.
I'm dedicating this particular image to Hinkypunk. Her Mushroom Forest set of backgrounds (Rendo) fits in perfectly with my fascination with drow. While this particular set is straight backgrounds, she has several other sets that have layers and moveable elements that I intend to try out.
In addition to the cool mushroom background I have several other new toys I'd like to point out. The hair is Blaze Hair by Propschick (Rendo). It came with a white hair texture (thank you!), so I didn't have buy an add-on or fake it. If you're using DS, I strongly suggest invoking "Convert to SubD" (Edit>Figure>Geometry>Convert to SubD). It will do two things, one which won't make you happy (increase the render time by a lot) and one which you'll be very happy about: smooth out the hair waves and give it a MUCH more natural look. I cannot stress how much nicer the hair looks using that feature.
The dress is Lost in Time, also by Propschick (yes, I'm a fan) with textures by sveva from her Eternity for Lost in Time set. Both are available here at Rendo.
The character is Maddelerium's MDD Rhona for V4.2 (Rendo). This is the second time I've used this character, and it won't be the last. She renders wonderfully in DS, and the number of options (like eyebrow colors) is out of this world. I used the drow version, but there is a light skinned version also.
DM provided the pose. It came from DM's Art of Fantasy (Rendo). DM is also the source for the window - DM's Chronicles (Rendo).
Lighting was done using Lantios' Core Lighting 1 (DAZ), with the add of a strong distance backlight set to mach the color of the mushrooms.
