Description

The drone was slowly closing the distance on Quaylor, and she knew it was only a matter of time before she was brought down. Clearly, the drone wanted her alive. If she could make it to the perimeter of the ruins, there was a slim chance that Dolquern could disable the drone and they could get away before the Alliance sent a bigger, meaner force after them... Models: Stonemason's Urban Future 3 with Dreamlight's Forsaken For Urban Future 3, Drone Eye by DAZ 3D and petipet, V4 with Future Cop outfit by DAZ and 3D Universe, Banshee Flyer by DAZ and Sergge. Posed and rendered in DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro; post work in Perfect Photo Suite and Photoshop CC. Please ZOOM! Thanks for dropping by, but for goodness sake either keep your head down or give Quaylor and Dolquern some help...! And if you survive, I'd appreciate any comments and/or critique. Thanks, Craig PREVIOUS: The arch

Dolquern worked furiously. Quay's transmission had been brief but terrifyingly clear. He had her Flyer location bleeping in, and knew he had only moments to disable the drone before it caught up with his only remaining squad mate. If he failed, not only would Quaylor be taken alive, but he would be the last free and independent member of his group That was not a position Dolquern wanted to occupy under any circumstances, but especially not if he made it long enough to report to the Board. He didn't want to have to explain how he had lost his entire squad. He re-routed what he thought should be the last cable, entered the last programming sequence ... and nothing happened. "Okay," Dolquern thought, "concentrate and relax." He began a review of the circuit from the beginning, checking every step quickly, but taking nothing for granted. He knew Quay had very little time left. Everything looked okay. But! Ahh ... just there. Dolquern made an adjustment, entered the drone's command sequence once more, and heard Quay yell through the com. "Yee-ha! Thanks, buddy!" Dolquern slumped against the console in relief for a moment, then got up and started walking to the landing bay to meet Quaylor when she docked.

Very nice. Motion blur on the background would have been "realistic" but would've hidden all that work on the background textures. Excellent lighting choice on the background! Very cinematic.

Many thanks for your input and support. I considered adding motion blur to the background, but came to the same conclusion as you - it would have been a pity to lose those amazing textures (Dreamlight's, not mine). So I compromised by adding a small amount of blur above and below the two subjects.

I love the lighting and use of color here. Some motion blur would really add a sense of speed to this already fine composition.
