Description
Throughout the foot hills of the Himalayas there have been reports of various totemic structures at certain locations. Nicolas Roerich, in his quest for Shamballah, noted and painted many of these. To this day only certain high Lamas know what they signify. And unfortunately with the corrupution and destruction of the Culture of Tibet, these landmarks will vanish and so too their meaning. Perhaps we are not worthy, as yet ,to find the true Shangri-La. Enjoy!

Beautiful. Magical and Mysterious. And you are probably right about not being worthy, most certainly not ready.

Cool composition, super work. Never saw any Totems like those when I worked in Nepal but the Siwalik Hills were dotted with small Shrines, minatures of the Third Eye at Swayambhunath Temple in Kathmandu, they were spooky enough. Peace

this is just divine .. gorgeous! Yes, it is a damned shame that yet another culture is being destroyed. So much is already lost, and .. nope .. I'm not getting on my soap box and going off on a rant.
