this is my antenna and it is designed for digital television. how long before a broadcast signal is no longer aired is the question

I don't think digitl reception is as good as analog.

We see less of these nowadays.A good shot before they are all gone.They are disappearing like the phone booths and 8-Track tapes.

TV antennas are pretty much a thing of the past, here in the KC area. There are still a couple houses that have them, but I think it's just because the homeowners are elderly, and don't want to climb up on the roof to remove them. This is a very high-tech looking antenna, and a cool shot of it. I was looking at CyberGuys' website the other day... The have antennas that can pick up a WiFi signal from over 20 miles away!
