Description
Although there is an abundance of pretty birds and flowers in my yard there are also a lot of nasties as well. Plenty of dangers lurk in the garden, this Redback Spider is just one of them.

Fantastic capture, demands respect, we are fortunate in the uk to really have only two truly venomous things... the adder and the false widow which can give you a nip and reaction if prone. Neither tend to be fatal unless one's immune system is weak.

Yeah, no matter where you live in Australia you can always find plenty of things that want to kill you, lol. If it isn't the spiders it's the snakes or sharks or crocs. We get a few snakes in the yard as well, mainly tiger snakes or dugites but we have seen taipans as well a couple of times. If a taipan bites you you've got an hour to get to a hospital or it's game over.
