Description
Continuing the set of retro-flashback images, we have Helen. This image is courtesy of a smug photography student. He wanted to make sure Helen's "good side" was showing.
Like all females in her family, Helen had been particularly pear-shaped since puberty. This gave her a small but... "enthusiastic" male following.
She was unlike her family in one way, however: they did not have a 100% track record when it came to finishing high school. Helen was the first in her family to go to college. Interestingly, that is where she started easing off the whole Goth thing... The other Goth types at college were quite amused by her impenetrable Dixie accent. It just didn't seem to "fit" with the whole presentation.

Man, is this photo a beauty! Caught her character in a pensive mood. Excellent work! I always thought her Goth thing at home was a way of being outstanding in another way than the rest of her family. Then getting to college and finding she didn't fit in with the college Goth group and not having to stand out at home, well, the whole thing seemed meaningless, and away it went. Nice job using black and white - night photo, reflecting her mood. Also, the darkness in the Goth world she's about to leave. I hope she found a much lighter world after this. She did get through college. Keep up the good work! :-) Drat! Where's the 6 on the rating scale?!
