Description
Lanzarote Island, Canarias Islands, Spain (west of Morocco) in Atlantic Ocean.
Lanzarote is a very volcanic island where the heat is not far from surface.
These round depressions are used to grow grapes; then a special wine is made (malvasia). They keep dew and make a shelter against strong winds.
